Introduction

The FORWARD project invites academic institutions, public authorities, utilities, and civil society organisations from Palestine and Ukraine to join Stakeholders’ Workshop 2, a one-day online event dedicated to shaping the training modules and case studies at the heart of the FORWARD programme.

FORWARD is developing six interconnected training modules — Open Science, Water Management, Food Security, Energy Sustainability, Housing and Sheltering, and Gender Equity — grounded in real conditions in Palestine and Ukraine. This workshop brings stakeholders directly into that process: examining real anchor cases, identifying training priorities, and helping shape the practical case studies that will anchor the FORWARD curriculum.

Participants will work in small breakout groups across the day, comparing conditions and priorities across both countries, and contributing directly to the content that will be developed over the coming months.

Objectives

  • Examine each Anchor Case as one integrated situation, not six separate sector discussions, and identify the gaps that only become visible when the site is viewed as a whole
  •  Translate those case-grounded gaps into module-specific implications, training content, and practical case studies

Who Should Attend

  • University researchers, faculty, and doctoral candidates
  • Public authorities, municipal staff, and utility operators
  • Civil society organisations and community representatives
