Here you can find main deliverables and milestone reports from Work Package 2 (Preparation) of the FORWARD project, coordinated by Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet) in partnership with universities in Norway, Italy, Palestine, and Ukraine.
WP2 established the foundation for strengthening higher education capacity in urban resilience in war-affected areas. It assessed FAIR data management and open science competencies, identified and prioritized critical urban resilience challenges, and determined the technical, operational, and security requirements for cloud-based solutions and VR-Lab integration.
There are three documents [1]:
- Survey Findings Report (MS3): Consolidated results of the partner assessments on (a) FAIR and open science competencies, (b) prioritization of critical cases across five thematic areas (water management, food security, energy sustainability, sheltering and housing, and gender equity), and (c) infrastructure needs for cloud-based solutions.
- Stakeholder Workshop-1 Report (MS4): Summary of a one-day online workshop with about 50 academic and non-academic stakeholders, held to validate the WP2 findings and gather more input on critical cases and infrastructure. It includes the agenda, key discussions, feedback, and recommendations.
- Strategic Input and Priority Action Document (D2.2): A synthesis of the WP2 findings into strategic inputs and priority actions to guide the project’s following work packages.
These outputs are intended for higher education institutions, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners working on urban resilience, open science, and digital capacity building in crisis and post-conflict contexts.
